  Area Attractions - Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
  At 6,800 feet in elevation, this is the United States' only mountain zoo. It is home to over 750 animals representing 142 species, 32 of which are classified as endangered or threatened. Hosting many community events, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is an integral part of Colorado Springs life.

Today, it boasts golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Ed Seay and Arnold Palmer, a world-class spa, trendy shopping, and top notch dining. This historical restort is set in the foothills of Cheyenne Mountain on a beautiful swan-filled lake. A true gem and icon of the Colorado Springs area.
   
  Area Attrations - Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center
  Founded in 1936, the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center hosts not only a stunning art museum, but also a performing arts theatre and school of art. It's exhibits boasts collections from Georgie O'Keeffe, John Singer Sargent, Arthur Dove, Robert Motherwell and Charles Russell, in addition to hosting unique traveling exhibitions from around the country.
   
  Garden of the Gods
  Perhaps the most famous landmark of the Colorado Springs area, the Garden of the Gods offers breathtaking scenery and a true escape from city life. With numerous walking trails, horseback trails, and climbing adventures, you don't have to travel far to get in touch with the natural wonder of Colorado.
   
  Manitou Springs
  Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak, this sleepy little community features nine named mineral springs for which it became famous. A walk through the park and adjoining shops, including a true boardwalk style penny arcade, is a unique experience.
